Casablanca launches womenswear

It might be an interesting time to try and expand your business, but luxeleisurewear brand Casablanca is doing just that. The brand has addedwomenswear to their offerings after seeing the success of their men'sbusiness. The first womenswear capsule collection has been launched inpartnership with e-tailer Net-a-Porter. The fifteen-piece capsule featuresnew pieces that have taken some of the traditional men's silhouettes andadapted them for the female form.

“There has always been strong feminine sensibility running through theCasablanca DNA, so launching a dedicated womenswear collection makes totalsense for us," Charaf Tajer, founder of Casablanca, said in a statement."When I designed this collection I had an intelligent, visionary woman inmind — her femininity is her strength, but she can embrace the beauty ofthe masculine too.”

For this capsule, Casablanca’s drew inspiration from the Lake Garda: a viewfrom a waterside Italian sanctuary, surrounded by green gardens and flankedby snowcapped mountains. In Casablanca's signature style, the collectionencapsulates nature through silk print shirts and robing with delicatehand-painted prints. The color palette included pinks, greens and whiteswith accents of the iconic Casablanca orange.

Feminine reimaginings of the Casablanca Tennis Club run through thecollection in the lightweight sweaters and polo, reminiscent of the 1970sin a slim cut and wide collar, and the track suit with wide leg pants, allin a luxe cashmere. The tailoring is also '70s inspired with jacketsboasting structured shoulders and elegant peak lapels, complete withhigh-waisted front pleat trousers that have become synonymous with theCasablanca aesthetic.

Casablanca has also introduced two new Dalmatian prints. The print has nowtaken the form of a silk rosa t-shirt and cropped denim jacket, withmatching straight cut jeans.
