The pressure control methods of the brush roller include cylinder and screw. The characteristic of cylinder pressure reduction is that the pressure applied to the brush roller is constant. As the brush bristles wear, the center of the brush roller continuously decreases, so the brushing effect remains basically unchanged. However, the wear of the brush bristles is becoming more and more severe. At the same time, the distance between the two ends of the brush roller and the steel strip is difficult to control, which can easily cause the steel to take off and deviate. The characteristic of screw reduction is that the reduction amount of the brush roller is basically constant. As the brush bristles wear, the reduction amount gradually decreases, so the cleaning effect also gradually deteriorates. Only by adjusting the screw again can the reduction force be restored.
Regardless of the type of pressing used, close attention must be paid to the current of the brush roller driving motor. The change in current can reflect the magnitude of the pressing force. By controlling the current well, the overall brushing effect can be achieved.
In general design, in order to prevent the displacement of the steel strip under the pressure of the brush roller from affecting the brushing effect, a support roller is set at the corresponding position of the brush roller. However, some studies suggest that in the case of wave shaped and vibrating steel strips, the reduction of the brush roller will continuously change, affecting the cleaning effect and the lifespan of the brush roller. If the form of brush roller to brush roller is changed, the actual position change of the steel strip caused by the wave shape and vibration of the steel strip will be absorbed by the other brush roller, and the fluctuation of the reduction amount is only half of the original, so the cleaning effect and the lifespan of the brush roller are improved. And this can reduce the length of the equipment and save investment.
