The brush roller can improve the surface quality of the work roller, reduce the number of roller replacement, reduce the grinding amount, improve the service life of the roller, improve the surface quality of the rolled piece, and reduce various costs.
Selection of brush roller material:
The effect of removing aluminum sticking on the surface of the work roller varies with the material of the brush roller. The steel wire brush roller has strong cleaning ability, but it has the following shortcomings: 1. Its service life is short, generally around 3000 hours, and it is easy to break the steel wire during long-term use. The falling steel wire presses into the surface of the strip, causing fatal metal pressing defects. The falling steel wire damages the surface of the roller, forming roller marks on the surface of the strip; 2. The use of wire brush rollers can cause significant wear on the rollers and reduce the service life of the rollers. The friction between the steel wire brush roller and the roller produces a large amount of iron powder mixed into the emulsion to pollute the emulsion, which has a greater impact on the stability of the quality of the soap free technology emulsion. The cleaning ability of nylon brush roller is weak, but the uniformity of nylon brush roller cleaning in the width direction of the strip is better, making it easier to obtain uniform surface quality, overcoming the shortcomings of steel brush roller, and the "aging" time is easy to grasp. Currently, more and more hot rolling mills use nylon brush rollers.
Correct use of brush rollers:
When the brush roll is working, a certain amount of lotion shall be sprayed on the brush roll to cool the working surface temperature and clean the brush hair of the brush roll. The spraying amount is about 3% - 5% of the total flow. Take the four roll hot rolling mill with working roll width as an example, the total flow is 12000l/min, the spraying amount of the brush roll is 440l/min, and the spraying pressure is 0.2-0.4MPa. During the working process of the brush roller, cooling and lubrication is very important. It can not only improve the cleaning effect, but also extend the service life of the brush roller. Therefore, cooling and lubrication of the brush roller alone is not only necessary, but also increasingly demanding.
